Introduction to Khuzestan Province

Khuzestan province is located in the southwest of Iran with an area of about sixty four thousand two hundred and thirty-six square kilometers.
The province is northwest of Ilam province, north of Lorestan province, northeast and east with Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad, south with the Persian Gulf and west to Iraq.
Based on the division of the country of 1353, the province has fifteen cities, sixty five districts, thirteen rural districts and four thousand four hundred and ninety six community villages.
The north and east of Khuzestan have been traversed by the Zagros Dynasty, whose altitudes are decreasing towards the southwest, so that they appear in the southern regions as hillsides. The province of Khuzestan can be divided into two mountainous and plain regions in terms of its height and height.
Based on the results of the general census of population and housing in 1395, the population of Khuzestan province was 4711000.
Khuzestan province has certain characteristics that are less than provincial in the country, and this feature have contributed to the province of Khuzestan distinguished from other provinces and provides opportunities to attract investors, both domestic and foreign to capitalize on these opportunities, we can mention the following:

Province Weather & Climate

The climate of Khuzestan is generally very hot and occasionally humid, particularly in the south, while winters are much more cold and dry. Summertime temperatures routinely exceed 45 °C (113 °F) degrees Celsius and in the winter it can drop below freezing, with occasional rainfall, all the way south.While in northern provinces the rainfall is good(about 200 mm square).

Major Agricultural & Greenhouse Products

More than half of the irrigated area was planted in corn, wheat,barley,fruit trees, and vegetables. Other agricultural products that benefited from irrigation included grapes, cotton, sugar beets, potatoes, legumes, olive trees, mangos, strawberries, tomatoes, and fodder grasses.
